I don't know about you, but I feel like I've been in hibernation mode lately
(& evidently, so has my blogging).
Since we all could use a little "pick me up" after the past month or two of winter,
I thought I would blog a little today & share some recent "finds"...

I often think that
the smallest gestures seem to leave
the biggest imprints
in our lives.
One of those for me are
handwritten notes.

(Oh, I'm a "techie" girl, but emails, IM's, and texts simply don't compare .)
Oh, how I LOVE to receive mail
(Not bills or junk mail - I'm talking letters)
the "old fashioned way"
...in a mailbox.
Don't you?

Well, along those lines...
I'm found often "surfing" on Etsy usually in
search of some creative cards
(so I can send cards/letters not just receive)
or roaming around in Hobby Lobby
only to discover something I love.
(Not hard to do there.)
Here are some more "finds":
How FUN are these sweet little tags that I "stumbled" upon at Hobby Lobby?!

Simple, yet unique.
They make me smile & seem to make my heart a little happier when I see them.
LOVE.

It's the "little things" in life that can make us smile & bring us little moments of joy.
There are so many ways to use them...
maybe by adding them to as a gift tag or just
a simple addition to a handwritten card you send to your friend.

Sometimes, I don't want to BUY anything, but instead create it.
So, for the past few years,
I decided when it came to family birthdays, I wanted to design cards that were
one-of-a-kind that
included a photo from the past
or a special moment in time to make
memorable.
Here are a few examples:

A little ribbon, a little card stock & a really FUN font.
(In case you didn't know, I LOVE LOVE LOVE fonts)

Fonts are fun, but still nothing compares to the style & original script found in handwritten letters. I keep some & I love at times to sit and read through them.
Great memories.
Whether you are sending a
THANK YOU
or
send a word of
ENCOURAGEMENT,
taking the time to sit & write a long (or short)
note be an way to minister to someone's heart.

A simple hello.
A memory.
A word of encouragement.
A kind word.
A verse.
It doesn't take much to impact those around us
...you never know how God could use your words of encouragement
or a simple
"hello" to make someone's day.
Just a note.
Design options are endless,
but none of them compare to your design through your words
etched into the paper grains of each letter
that can express heartfelt emotions,
thoughtful thanks,
or simply signed with love.

I often wish I could see the response when they open their mailbox to find a letter
because often I send notes out of the blue just to say "hello"
or for NO REASON AT ALL.

I believe handwritten notes are becoming a "lost art form"
& quickly becoming obsolete,
but I'm determined to keep them "ALIVE & WELL"
& send at least ONE a month.
TAKE A MINUTE.
Make someone's day.
Send a handwritten note.
...they NEVER disappoint.
(Unless it's a "DEAR JOHN" letter - Yikes!)
